Red Key Concepts Design & Build LTD and Sustainability

Sustainability – “Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” Brutland Commission 1987

We acknowledge that the day to day operations of Red Key Concepts Design & Build LTD can impact both directly and indirectly on the environment.

We aim to protect and where possible improve the environment through good management and by adopting best practice whenever possible.

We fully understand that sustainability in building developments no matter their size, is a complex subject whereby the potential environmental impacts are very significant and therefore must be ascertained, researched and proactively considered from the very earliest stages to prevent harmful impacts.

We will work to integrate environmental considerations into our business decisions and adopt greener alternatives wherever possible, throughout our operations.

Therefore, our company commits to take action immediately in order to:

  1. Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030
  2. Achieve net zero emissions before 2050
  3. Disclose our progress on a yearly basis

Sustainability in action

Foxbury Farm, Sevenoaks

Foxbury Farm is an incredibly fascinating and diverse development in leafy Sevenoaks where we have been successfully able to offer our client a more sustainable approach to their build.

We are delighted that this development is following our greener ethos as a company.

We are true advocates of galvanising relationships with our ‘local’ supply chain especially in all of our construction projects to reduce the amount of material transportation required and thus pollutants caused by the vehicles are also reduced whilst boosting and supporting the local economy.

We have worked together with Natural England to provide a continued habitat for the varied species of bats which includes a breeding colony and  enhanced native planting in the landscaping design.
